Rebekah Presents MRDust at EMBC 2024

Rebekah Zhao presenting at the 2024 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC 2024) in Orlando, Florida.

Graduate students Rebekah Zhao and Alex Chou's paper "The MRDust: Wireless Data Uplink & Localization via Magnetic Resonance Image Modulation," was presented by Rebekah at the 46th International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC 2024) in Orlando, Florida. The presentation was delivered on July 19th as part of the "Novel Sensing and Applications" session.

In collaboration with Prof. Michael (Miki) Lustig, MRDust is the first wireless sensor implant platform that performs data uplink by actively modulating magnetic resonance image (MRI) voxel intensities. This platform supports simultaneous data readout from a network of implants with easy device localization and built-in image registration.
